Get More From Solar With a Smarter Hybrid System

A hybrid solar energy system gives you more flexibility over the power your property produces. By combining solar generation with battery storage and grid connection, you can store excess energy for later, use more of the electricity you generate, and reduce unnecessary reliance on grid power.

At Hybrid Solar Group, we design hybrid solar systems around the way your home or property actually uses energy. We assess your electricity consumption, available roof space, solar potential, battery requirements and future energy goals before recommending a system. This considered approach helps ensure every component works together efficiently rather than simply adding a battery to a standard solar setup.

With over 21 years of electrical and solar expertise, our team delivers carefully planned hybrid solutions with a strong focus on system performance, safety and long-term reliability. The result is a more adaptable energy system that gives you greater control over your solar power today while preparing your property for changing energy needs in the years ahead.

    Store Excess Solar for Later

Instead of sending all unused daytime solar back to the grid, a hybrid system can direct excess energy into battery storage, ready for use when your household needs it.

Make Better Use of Your Solar Generation

Get greater value from the electricity produced on your roof. Smart energy management helps balance solar generation, battery capacity and household demand throughout the day.

    Use Stored Energy After Sunset

Solar generation naturally drops in the evening, but your energy needs continue. Battery storage allows available solar energy collected earlier to support your home after daylight hours.

Reduce Exposure to Grid Electricity Costs

Using more self-generated and stored energy can reduce the amount of electricity you need to purchase from the grid, helping you manage ongoing household energy expenses.

    Add Greater Energy Resilience

A properly configured hybrid system can provide additional energy security when suitable backup capabilities are included, giving your household another layer of protection during eligible grid interruptions.

Designed as One Complete Energy System

Hybrid Solar Group carefully considers your panels, inverter, battery, energy consumption and future requirements as one connected solution. This helps create a system designed for efficient operation, dependable performance and long-term value.

How Energy Flows Through a Hybrid Solar System

See how solar generation, battery storage, your property and the electricity grid work together to create a more flexible way to manage energy.

    Rooftop Solar Panels

Capture sunlight and convert it into renewable electricity that can be used across your property or directed to battery storage.

    Hybrid Solar Inverter

Manages the flow of electricity between your solar panels, battery, property and grid to keep the system operating efficiently.

    Your Property

Your hybrid system coordinates solar generation, battery storage and grid electricity to supply power according to demand and available energy.

    Battery Storage

Stores available excess solar energy so it can be used later when solar generation is lower or energy demand increases.

    Power Where You Need It

Available electricity is supplied to lighting, appliances, equipment and other electrical loads across your property.

    Connected to the Grid

The grid can provide additional electricity when required and may receive eligible excess solar generation when your system produces more energy than it can use or store.

    YOUR HYBRID SOLAR JOURNEY

From Energy Assessment to a Complete Hybrid System

Every property has different energy demands. Hybrid Solar Group follows a considered process to understand your requirements, design the right combination of solar and storage, and deliver a system configured for reliable day-to-day operation.

    Understand Your Energy Needs01

We begin by looking at how your property uses electricity, when demand is highest and what you want your hybrid system to achieve.

Match Solar With the Right Storage02

Our team determines an appropriate combination of solar capacity, battery storage and system components based on your property and expected energy demand.

    Bring Every Component Together03

Qualified professionals install and configure the system so the panels, hybrid inverter, battery and grid connection operate together as intended.

Put Your Hybrid System to Work 04

Once commissioned, your system is prepared for everyday operation, with settings configured to help manage generation, storage and energy use effectively.

What makes a hybrid solar system different from standard solar?

A standard grid-connected solar system generally uses solar electricity while it is being generated and can export eligible surplus power to the grid. A hybrid system adds battery capability, allowing available excess solar energy to be stored for later use while maintaining a grid connection.

Some hybrid systems can provide backup power during a grid outage, but this depends on the inverter, battery, backup configuration and how the system has been installed. Hybrid Solar Group can assess whether backup capability should be incorporated into your system design.

Battery capacity should be matched to factors such as your electricity consumption, solar generation, evening or overnight usage, desired level of energy independence and future requirements. We assess these factors before recommending an appropriate storage solution.

In some cases, an existing solar installation can be upgraded with battery storage or additional hybrid components. Compatibility depends on your current inverter, panels, electrical setup and system configuration, so an assessment is required before determining the best approach.

Once the battery reaches its configured capacity, available solar electricity can continue supplying your property. Depending on your system setup and connection arrangements, eligible excess generation may then be exported to the electricity grid.

Yes. Hybrid solar can be designed for residential and commercial applications. The appropriate solar capacity, battery storage and system configuration will depend on the property’s electricity demand, operating patterns, available installation space and energy objectives.
